Maine Lodges and Sporting Camps
Beginning in the mid-1800s camp sports and lasting for more than a century, Maine boasted a large number of lodges camp sports and sporting camps that catered to the pursuit of outdoor activities. While the primary interests of guests were fishing camp sports and hunting, many of the larger, more expensive resorts offered a variety of opportunities, including golf, horseback riding, tennis, boating, archery, camp sports and hiking, camp sports and some boasted gourmet dining camp sports and elegant parties. While some of these establishments survive, many have been demolished, existing only in memory camp sports and in photographs. Maine Lodges camp sports and Sporting Camps tells the story of the most prominent destinations, featuring nearly two hundred historic images that depict the life that existed when Maine was a sportsman's paradise, abounding in trophy game camp sports and fish.

Woodward Camp - Woodward Camp is a popular recreational youth summer camp located in Woodward, Pennsylvania, which offers programs in gymnastics, but is also more widely known in the action sports community for its instructional programs in inline skating, skateboarding, and BMX. Well known performers in these sports often visit to give tutorials in their respective disciplines.

Camp White Pine - Camp White Pine in Haliburton, Ontario is a sports and arts camp for boys and girls aged 7 to 16. It was established by Joseph Kronick in 1956, though it was taken over by his son Adam in 1985.

Windell's Camp - Windell's Camp in operation since 1988 is a popular independent youth extreme sports summer camp on Mount Hood, Oregon offering programs in snowboarding, skateboarding, alpine skiing, and BMX. Additional activities include paintball, recreational swimming, and rafting.
